Wates Group is a family-owned construction services company, whose values, long term vision and financial independence have enabled it to thrive for more than a century.

This major rebranding project has required us to consider and rationalise all of the branding touch points both internally and externally with the creation of a comprehensive brand rule book.

The project is ongoing and includes corporate designs for Annual Reports, brochures, magazines, signage, interactive and digital requirements.

Launching a major new rebranding...

As part of the rebrand launch programme we created an interactive brand mailer which animated the transition from the old brand to the new one. We have also created a substantial Brand Rule Book showing how the new branding should be implemented.

With a massive external audience and with over 4,000 staff, successful external and internal communications are vital. Our role is to ensure that all brochures are engaging and vibrant.

Ensuring that the Wates brand is implemented consistently across all communications is imperative. Ranging from applying brand guidelines onto PPE, to effective application onto construction sites and offices, the results speak for themselves.

Adding value to the Annual Report in print and online...

Our brief from the Wates Group was to provide a comprehensive suite of printed materials including a Folder, Annual Report and Credentials document. In addition, we were tasked with creating an online version of the Annual Report, along with large format animated graphics for the head office reception area in Leatherhead.

The Annual Report is a 36 page A4 document profiling the highlights of another successful year for the company. By combining powerful imagery, case studies and infographics we have helped to bring the business story of the year to life.

Award-winning events...

As part of our work with the Wates Group, we design and produce the materials for their annual Chairman's Awards events.

The most recent of these being help at the V&A Museum in London. Our brief was to brand and provide signage for the areas of the museum in which the event was taking place, and to produce the evening's programme and associated material which ranged from table cards to animated digital presentations.
